The aim of the DEEP Programme is to change the mindset and build the capacity of rural communities participating in the Comprehensive Rural Development Programme(CRDP) and National Rural Youth Service Corps(NARYSEC) youth of the Republic of South Africa though the Saemaul DEEP Programme based on the experience of Korea's Saemaul Undong(New Village Movement). The contribution from the Korean counterpart will be made in the three(3) major programme components: 1) Projecting master plan for Saemaul training and education in South Africa; 2) Development of curriculum and course material for Saemaul training in NARYSEC; 3) Extending field consultancy services to the two(2) pilot villages - Amajingqi Village, Willowvale in the Amathole District, Eastern Cape State, and Makolokoeng Village in the Thabo Mofutsanyane District, Free State. The programme project will be carried out through to 2018 by the end of 2021.
