On 12th June, H.E. Mr. Alounkeo KITTIKOUN, Minister to the Prime Minister¡¯s office and H.E. Kang-hyeon YUN, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea visited rural areas which is implemented as a part of the Laos Rural Development Project (USD 1,455M/2014-2020) in KOICA Office in Lao PDR.

In the morning, they visited Ban Eakxang, Phonehong district and had a time to meet with the delegates and residents of the villages. The residents have expressed their willingness and confidence in the success of the project.

In addition, Mr. Holywater OH, the resident representative of KOICA Office in Lao PDR donated the 320,000,000Kip(about USD40,000) to the Weaving Association of Nalao Kumban directly.

Since then, they not only visited business sites such as improved Road(3.4km) in Eakxang Village, Green houses and a Fresh Market, but also visited a cattle farm in Thinyung village, Viengkham District and checked the difference of improvements.

It is expected that the results of the project will help to increase the income of the residents more positively.
