Opening ceremony of rice seed center and new village hall Ban Thakhamlean, in Songkhone District, Savannakhet province, this opening ceremony organization on January 9, 2018 at Thakhamlean village.

Mr. Khamlui, Director of agriculture and forestry Department, Dr.Chen representative of KIRD Project, District Governor, DAFO office and leader from 15 villages. On opening ceremony, they are some training to farmers (technical training) 132 total attendees.

For the rice seed center center and new village hall in Ban Thakhamlean are activities belong to Saemaul Undong Project, this project to improve farmer¡¯s income and infra-structure, implementing Saemaul Undong Project 70% from project and 30% from farmers. The Saemaul Undong project has started since 2016. Mr. Lamgerng, leader of Thakhamlean village report: for activity of Saemaul Undong project to implementing and supporting to Ban Thakhamlean such as: inner roads around village 2.5 kilometer, 160 million kip in this budget project 70% and farmers 30%. Also we have rice seed center. we have 11 member for this activity, in rice seed center, the project support machinery for product rice seed such as: Dryer machine, cleaning machine, thresher machine and harvesting machine total over 1 billion kip and new village hall total construction 300 million kip.

For rice seed production, we have a plan to sale rice seed on May in this year and we have many activities in this time such as: primary school, model farm. Additionally on Jan 10, 2018 Saemaul Undong project to hold a opening ceremony of rice seed center and new village hall in Ban Phonemuang Champhone District.
