[Title] Rural Development & Leadership Training Program for Ghana Officials

1. Abstract

The objective of the Rural Development & Leadership Training Program for Ghana Officials is to: (i) To share the experiences of the rural development and Saemaul Undong programs in Korea (ii) To provide skills and experiences on the establishment, implementation, management, evaluation of the rural development programs, (iii) To provide opportunities of capacity building for Ghana officials on the rural development, and (¥¤) To provide countermeasures for rural development policies of Ghana Government through group discussion. There is a number of sessions for lecture and discussion: Korea's case of Saemaul Undong, Agricultural and Rural Development Policy, and Agricultural Infrastructure Policy; Rural Development Planning including Community Analysis, Action Plan Formulation and Leadership Fostering; and Action Plan Formulation. For promoting friendship and partnership among the participants and between Ghana and Korea some social and cultural programs were offered.
